Allison Fischer, MS, CCC-SLP Owner and Lead Therapist
Hi! I'm Allison Fischer, owner and lead therapist at Fischer Speech Therapy Solutions. I have been practicing in the field of pediatric speech and language therapy for more than 14 years. I received my Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida in 2008. I have worked with children across many different settings including private clinics, home health visits, school-based therapy, and more. I spent 5 years in a public school setting as well. It is my passion to offer practical and functional solutions to all children's speech and language needs.
I live in Old Hickory with my husband, Casey, and our two children, Aubrey (11) and Tyler (7). On the weekends, you can usually find us on our boat or near water. I was born and raised in St. Petersburg, FL and we came to Nashville in 2015. We love Nashville and having seasons, but I will always be a beach girl at heart!
Abby Sakovich, MS, CCC-SLP
Abby Sakovich received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Bowling Green State University in 2006 and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Syracuse University in 2009. Abby was born and raised in the Midwest, but is no stranger to the South. After completing her clinical fellowship, she relocated to Columbia, South Carolina where she began her career as a school-based SLP. She has served children in preschool through sixth grade with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders. The wealth of her experience stems from working with children with Autism spectrum disorders ranging from nonverbal students using augmentative and alternative communication to students in the general education setting learning to develop and maintain peer relationships.
Abby lives in Mount Juliet with her husband Jeremy, five-year-old son Wade, and 65 pound coonhound mix who still thinks he is a lap dog. She loves to take walks, crochet, cook, and collect mid century kitchen and glassware. On nice days you can find her outside with Wade exploring the backyard and creek next to their house.
Lauren Robertson, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hi! I’m Lauren Robertson! I’ve been practicing in the field of pediatric speech and language therapy for more than 12 years. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2006. I then continued to receive my Master’s of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Mississippi in 2010. I moved to Nashville in February of 2010 to complete my internship at Skyline Medical Center. In May of 2010, I started my clinical fellowship in Clarksville, TN at a pediatric clinic.
After three years, I moved over to the Hermitage area working at Summit Medical Center in acute care and in the pediatric outpatient clinic. In January of 2016, I had my first child and stayed home for a year. After a year off, I began providing tele-therapy services, working with a variety of pediatric patients. I have worked with a wide range of pediatric speech and language disorders in a variety of settings.
I currently live in Mt. Juliet with my husband Dustin, our three kids Haven (6), Kasen (5), Ariah (3) and our 2 dogs. on the weekends you can find us on the lake, at the soccer field, watching movies, or traveling.
Kimberly Mikkelson, M.S., CCC-SLP
Kimberly Mikkelson received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Tarleton State University in 2008 and her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Texas Women’s University in 2011.
Kimberly is originally from Waco, Texas, but made the move to Nashville in 2014. She has provided speech therapy services to all ages in multiple settings including Pre-K through 12th grade, students beyond high school aged 18-22, and adult patients in out-patient and nursing home settings.
Kimberly lives in Donelson with her husband Brett and Border Collie Reba. Kimberly also has a horse named Teddy. Teddy is currently living in Louisiana with family being helping children taking riding lessons. Kimberly loves music, the outdoors, animals, thrifting, vintage clothes, and workout classes at the YMCA.
